If you buy an uncertified dog you have only the breeders word for the parentage. Which should be enough, but in today's world there are unscrupulous breeder's who might falsify breed records or make false claims in these records. Resulting in people receiving dogs who are not what they claim. With DNA certification there is no fear of uncertain parentage.
